Every event that on the USC campus affects the university resources over and above the normal operational demands. Please fill out the required Event Permit Application which can be found on this web site. |

How do I know if I need USC Security or a LAFD permit? |
| A: |
Several examples that show when security is needed are: When there are 500 or more people present for an event, when there is a money exchange, or when an equipment watch may be needed. A fire permit is needed when a tent larger than 450 sq. ft. is in use and also when there is a special assembly larger than 50 people in attendance. However, all events are reviewed on a case-by-case basis as this is an educational institution. |

Who do I call if I need help with fencing, catering, parking arrangements, etc?? |

On our online special event permit, we have provided a university contact list of other departments on campus that play an important part of planning a successful event at USC. |

Who do I contact to reserve a location? |
| A: |
By filling out the online Permit Application you are requesting a specific location on campus. You will be contacted by a staff person within a few days. If no one contacts you please call (213) 740-6838. |

Our campus has a Protocol and Events office that may suit your needs in planning an event in its entirety. |
