Heighten awareness and understanding of environmental issues and engender a “Think Globally, Act Locally” philosophy;

Reduce total waste generation;

Embrace pollutant-reducing practices and technology;

Diminish the generation of toxic waste by eliminating unnecessary use of hazardous materials and processes;

Encourage recycling and the use of recycled materials;

Manage and conserve energy and natural resources efficiently;

Strive to continually improve environmental performance; and

Communicate environmental performance throughout the University.
