Transitional Duty Assignments:
- Efforts should be made to provide the injured employee a Transitional Duty
assignment during the employee's normal working shift/hours and under his/her
regular supervision/management. In the event Transitional Duty is not
available in the employee's regular department and/or regular shift, suitable
work assignments in other departments/shifts will be offered.
- No overtime is allowed for Transitional Duty participants.
- The assignments must be designed to provide meaningful tasks to the employee,
assist with the employee's recovery, and enhance productivity.
Transitional Duty is:
- Productive and Necessary
- Temporary (90 Days)
- Structured to adhere to medical restrictions
- An effective use of employee's existing skills

Transitional Duty is not:
- Punitive
- Permanent
- A Promotion
- A "Job"
- A Demotion
