Assessment Tools

Professional Development can help you bridge diversity in your work groups by using assessment tools that bring awareness to individual differences and strengths.  Understanding workplace preferences, managing stress, reducing conflict, building teamwork, and developing leadership are some benefits of the following assessment tools.

DiSC® – Dimensions of Behavior Personal Profile System
Participants get a better understanding of their behavioral profile and identify the environment most conducive to success.  They also learn about their differences and the environment individuals prefer for maximum productivity and teamwork in the organization.

Emotional Intelligence Appraisal

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is a person's ability to perceive, understand and manage his or her own emotions and the emotions of other people.  Recent studies show that EQ predicts job performance 2 to 1 over any other skill.

The Emotional Intelligence Appraisal measures EQ in all four components of Daniel Goleman's benchmark model.  It captures an individual's EQ quickly and accurately and follows up with easy-to-understand recommendations that are customized to fit the participant's unique skill profile.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) Personality Inventory
Participants discover their own psychological type and learn how different personalities perceive and interpret information and events.  Through discussion we explore how understanding these differences can improve communication and reduce conflict at work.

Situational Leadership®
Participants determine their preferred leadership style and the individual needs of those they supervise.  Leaders become better prepared to diagnose the needs of an employee or team and how to use the leadership style most appropriate for their situation.

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument
Helps participants recognize their conflict resolution style using a two-dimensional model and enables them to judge how appropriate their actions are for a given situation.

StrengthsFinder Assessment
Using this tool (from the Gallup Organization) participants will uncover their top five themes of talent. In addition, they will learn strategies for applying their strengths at work and at home, so they can live life with a strengths approach.
